HLTAID010 -Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support is a nationally recognised training course designed to give participants the confidence and practical skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. This course focuses on the initial response to life-threatening incidents and teaches participants how to provide immediate care until professional medical assistance arrives.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to assess emergency situations, ensure scene safety, communicate with emergency services, perform CPR, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will also gain hands-on experience managing common medical emergencies including unconscious casualties, choking, breathing difficulties, shock, severe bleeding, and other life-threatening conditions.

Training is delivered in a practical and supportive environment by experienced trainers, with a strong focus on real-world scenarios and building confidence to act quickly in emergencies. This course is suitable for workplace requirements, community members, parents, carers, outdoor leaders, sports coaches, and anyone wanting essential lifesaving skills.

Successful participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.
